1. Scope.

This policy covers the website at onlycharts.co.uk, the website wrapper at onlycharts.co.uk/app/ and the Technical X-Ray application hosted at app.onlycharts.co.uk. The application uses third-party market-data and hosting services to provide its functionality.

2. Who is responsible.

OnlyCharts is responsible for the marketing website and product experience described here. Privacy questions can be sent to help@onlycharts.co.uk.

3. Information you provide.

When you enter a ticker, the ticker and selected timeframe may be placed in the page URL and passed to the application so the requested chart can be opened. Do not enter personal or confidential information into a ticker field.

If you contact OnlyCharts, the information in your message and your contact details are used to respond and maintain a reasonable record of the correspondence.

4. Website analytics.

The website uses Google Analytics 4. Measurement data can include viewed pages, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser information, referring pages and interactions such as opening the X-Ray or reading the methodology.

Analytics is used to understand which pages and product journeys are useful. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in the website configuration.

5. The Technical X-Ray application.

The separately hosted application processes the ticker, timeframe and chart interactions required to provide the requested analysis. It also uses browser storage for product state such as chart annotations and may use analytics and operational monitoring within the application environment.

Market-data requests are made to third-party providers. Those providers and the application host may receive technical information such as IP address, timestamps, request details and browser information as part of normal service delivery and security logging.

6. Cookies and browser storage.

Google Analytics may set or access analytics cookies. The Technical X-Ray application may use its own cookies or browser storage for sessions, preferences, annotations and service operation.

7. Fonts and external resources.

The website requests the Geist and Geist Mono fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve those resources, which can expose normal technical request information such as IP address and user agent. The application and website may also connect to hosting, market-data and content-delivery providers.

8. Purposes and lawful bases.

• Provide the website and application, respond to requests and maintain security: legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps taken at your request.
• Website analytics and product improvement: legitimate interests, subject to the controls and rights available under applicable law.
• Meet legal obligations and protect rights: legal obligation or legitimate interests as applicable.

9. Service providers and transfers.

OnlyCharts relies on third parties for hosting, fonts, analytics and market data. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, providers use their own contractual and legal transfer safeguards. OnlyCharts does not sell personal information.

10. Retention.

Analytics retention is controlled in the analytics service. Contact correspondence and operational logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose, security, dispute handling or legal requirements.

11. Your rights.

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law can give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing.

12. Security, children and changes.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. OnlyCharts is not designed for children. This notice may change as the website, application or providers change; the date above identifies the current version.
